This fungus, called Candida Albicans, is one of more
than 20 types of microscopic yeast fungi.
Everyone has the Candida fungi naturally in their body
and on the surface of the skin. The Candida
Albicans can grow out of control under certain conditions
and cause uncomfortable symptoms which can become chronic or
life-threatening if untreated.
Candida yeast infections can occur in men, women and
infants or children. Most cases are in women however. The yeast
infection most commonly treated is a vaginal yeast
infection.
The candidiasis grows in moist, warm areas of the
body, and can multiply in to enormous amounts which cause
infections.
Other areas of the body which are commonly affected by
yeast infection are the mouth, including cheeks and tongue, the
anus, diaper area and fingernail bed.
When untreated, the candida yeast infection can
enter into the body through a cut, abrasion or weakened skin
area.
The infection will develop rhizoid which can penetrate
organs, intestinal walls and sinuses, wreaking havoc on the
digestion, allergy and brain.
People who have depleted immune systems, such as
people who have AIDS, leukemia are at risk of contracting yeast
infection.
However, anyone can contract candida and it is one of
the most common diseases in the US. Candida yeast produces
toxins like Canditoxin and Ethonal; both are toxic to our
bodies.
A systemic yeast infection can occur when the disease
is not treated properly. This means that the symptoms return
again and again, and become more resistant
to over-the-counter medications or prescription
medications.
Symptoms of vaginal yeast infection are a thick,
grainy white or yellow discharge with odor. The vagina and skin
around the labia become red and inflamed, causing itching and
burning.

In men, the area around the penis or other areas
become irritated. In babies the yeast infection can happen in
the mouth, called thrush, which causes white spongy areas on
the tongue and cheeks.
Diaper rash categorized by flat, scalloped and red
spots and inflamed skin causes extreme pain and
irritation.
People who have devices implanted into their system
like urinary catheters and IVs are in danger of the yeast
breaking into their body.
Drug users who use dirty needles are at risk of
infecting their muscle tissues and bloodstream.
Even people without these devices, who do not take
precautions against wearing loose clothing, using proper
hygiene, or changing diapers properly, run the risk of
contracting the disease.
In short, anyone is at risk of developing a yeast
infection, and the candida fungi can be dangerous. The yeast
infection lives on the surface of the skin, and can penetrate
the bloodstream and organs.
The symptoms are uncomfortable and embarrassing,
sometimes extremely painful.
Other problems can develop such as chronic skin
irritations, toxic material formation and allergies to food and
fibers. In extreme cases, memory loss and damage to the blood,
liver and heart can occur.
The good news is that people can neutralize the
environment that causes its growth to protect
themselves.
